WebcastingTV Launches EMS Campaigns for Feature Film Debuts

Anaheim, November 30, 2003 /PRNewswire/ -- WebcastingTV, a leader in multi-platform, multi-channel Web streaming services, has competed several email campaigns for feature films. The latest effort was for the Paramount film TIMELINE, based on the Michael Crichton novel. The campaign delivered V-Button streaming video clips of film highlights and behind-the-scenes interviews, then promoted a contest to win TIMELINE promotional gifts.

"One of the interesting features of this campaign was the introduction or our 'Send-5-Friends' forwarding function," says Tim Yale, President of WebcastingTV. "This new function lets viewers forward a copy of the video to 5 of their friends at once." You can see how it works by going to http://vbuttons.com/ec/707/index.php?em_id=1. The campaign for Paramount was delivered using WebcastingTV's V-Button Email Marketing System, the EMS.

The EMS is a browser-based email broadcast and management system. Within the system are utilities to construct html email pages then broadcast them to a list of email addresses. The EMS campaigns are designed to deliver V-Button videos, but can be used for conventional email campaigns also. The EMS has a reporting section that enables the sender to monitor the recipient's actions with the email in real-time.

"There's no denying the power of video to deliver information faster, more effectively, and to integrate it into an email improves the effectiveness of any email campaign," said Tim Yale, president of WebcastingTV. Users of the EMS report a higher frequency of recipient response when a video is included in the campaign. Statistic on the effectiveness of the EMS are available on WebcastingTV's website at http://webcastingtv.com/research/email_research.html.

WebcastingTV has several other email campaigns for feature films scheduled. They have proven to be cost effective, especially for cross promotional opportunities and promoting merchandise.
