Anaheim, California, January 3, 2002 - WebcastingTV today announced a new V-Button distributor, CyberQpons (http://cyberqpons.com) of Seattle Washington. CyberQpons distributes local-area membership cards that can be used to gain discounts at businesses in their area. "As the name suggests, the CyberQpon card contains virtual coupons for the participating businesses. A customer with their card can simply present it to the retailer like a credit card," says Tim Yale, COO of WebcastingTV. The use of each card is electronically tracked, and the advertiser gets a detailed report on the demographics of the card users. The retailers who are participating in the program can be found at http://cyberqpons.com, in their directory section. An advertiser receives a listing there, which links to a mini-webpage. As part of that webpage the advertiser gets a V-Button program that they can also use on their own website. "Consumers really enjoy the ability to see the business before they go there," says Marty Siegall, of WebcastingTV. CyberQpons launched their online coupon service in 1999 and have continually added new features to the advertising package. They started making video programs for their advertisers before they met WebcastingTV. "Using the V-Button technology and production process has helped to lower the cost to give our customer a streaming video presentation," says John Schoof, CEO of CyberQpons. "It has been very well received and taken the burden of administrating that part of our business plan off our hands. We can now concentrate more time on sales." Also, now that CyberQpons is a V-Button reseller, they can offer an expanded placement of the V-Button programs at an additional price. Advertisers can now use their V-Button programs in any of the national Yellow Page sites that already support V-Buttons. Sites such as YellowPages.com, SBN.com, and regional publishers such as Ad-Ventures. "The incremental cost of putting their V-Buttons in other directories is easily justifiable, and simply brings better value to our customers," says Schoof.
