WebcastingTV Investor Newsletter - Winter 2003

March 20, 2003

Dear Investors,

During the months since our last newsletter in November, WebcastingTV has been busy building sales support material and production infrastructure for the upcoming national launch of V-Button resellers. Our local sales efforts have remained strong with several National Channel products launched for customers such as Big-O Tire, The AdCouncil, and TLC Laser.

A series of web pages have been created as sales support information for national sales efforts. The first one shows the result of product research surveys that were conducted to investigate consumer reactions to the V-Button within Internet Yellow Page Directories and websites. The second provides some testimonials from satisfied Email Management System (EMS) customers. The third demonstrates the options that are available beyond the basic V-Button package.

We anticipate the immanent launch of several reseller networks which will emphasize our EMS. This newsletter is sent through that system. It allows the sender to track the recipient's actions, and generates a real-time report for the sender. We have several hundred customers using the system already. There is more about the EMS in the New Products section of this newsletter. We will also be initiating a broader telemarketing program which has proven successful in trials.

We have completed the preparations for our next round of financing. A Private Placement will begin within the next month. The proceeds are allocated to support the Verizon launch and the expansion of other resellers.

Take a few minutes to step through this newsletter and feel free to pass it long to anyone you think might be interested. Also, don't hesitate to give me a call if you have any suggestions for business development opportunities or investor prospects.

Regards,
BURT YALE, CEO

Secondary Products:
EMS: WebcastingTV has published a series of updates to the Email Management System (EMS), which is the system by which you are receiving this newsletter. Some of those updates are:

  • Broadcast Scheduling: This feature enables EMS users to schedule when an email broadcast is executed. Our "Standard" EMS package allows customers to broadcast up to 10,000 emails per month. The "Scheduling" system allows users to set-up broadcasts of up to 2,000 emails per day for up to two weeks in advance.
  • Redesigned Spam Blocking: The legal definition of "Spam" is different in many states. National legislation is pending to standardize the definition. WebcastingTV's EMS system conforms to the national standards. Some of the key features are: Recipients can universally block their address from any future EMS mailings, no matter who the sender is; and the sender's name and email address are available on each email.
  • Email Address Verification: It is common for people to change their emails addaxes regularly. Statistically, approximately 20% of us end up with a new email every year. Usually because they have changed Internet Service Providers or jobs. The net result is that the "quality" of your list of customer emails degrades over time. The EMS has a new feature that verifies an email before it is sent.

WebcastingTV Press Releases

Verizon Update:
We have been busy creating support services for Verizon’s National and Local sales organizations. Some of them are:
  1. WebcastingTV has produced a customer presentation CD for use by directory sale persons. The release date has not been determined. If you would like a copy of this CD, contact us.
  2. Custom management reports from within our online Production Management System (PMS) have been created for Verizon’s customer support and technical management teams. These custom reports are configured like Verizon’s internal reporting.
  3. We are working together with Verizon's National account managers to approach a selected group of CMRs and National Customers.
  4. Until Verizon launches their direct sales efforts, customers who inquire about video ads within SuperPages are referred directly to us.
SP-Offerings: Verizon has packaged our V-Button products in a simplified form. Their customer offerings will keep the options to a minimum, so that the sales representatives can integrate the V-Button into their limited customer time. The initial product introduction will emphasize utilizing an existing customer video in a package they call, The Basic. For customers who need a new program to stream, the package is called, The Professional.

Infrastructure: Our Network Operations staff has completed the upgrade of our redundant array of the web and video servers. If you haven't taken the time to investigate the "tech" side of the V-Button operation, then let me give you the 30-second tour. The V-Button is not simply a software package that runs on a single server. There are no less that 5 different servers working in concert to deliver a single video program. All HTML structures are delivered from Linux servers, WMP and RealVideo content are delivered from NT servers, and QuickTime media is delivered from Mac OS machines. Load balancing and media back-up are managed automatically. The V-Button's simple use and installation for a customer belay its sophisticated infrastructure.

WebcastingTV PowerPoint Presentation: Many of you have not had the opportunity to see the PowerPoint presentation that I regularly give to potential investors, resellers, and customers. The link below will launch an 8-minute version of my presentation. WebcastingTV has a unique opportunity. Our advertising distribution, and national production network, give us the ability to offer customers economical and effective video advertising on the Internet.
