Robert Bentley was recently elected Governor of Alabama. His candidacy was considered a long shot. WebcastingTV delivered a total of 39 email broadcasts over a 14 month period.
Some of the broadcasts were "statewide" but many of the broadcasts were targeted a local constituencies. All broadcasts were designed to reach the following objectives:
- Reach into specific geo-targeted areas with the client’s message;
- Test and measure the effectiveness to their message;
- Build their internal email distribution list with new “recipients” from our database;
- Develop an effective Call-to-Action for the recipients, such as: visit our site; call your representative; help support our effort; and vote for a candidate.
During Robert Bentley's election campaign WebcastingTV delivered over 8 million emails, and developed a subscriber list of nearly 120,000 followers. Some of the types of emails sent were:
- General “issue” messages that are explaining the positions the candidate is taking. These messages are usually sent to the entire database.
- Regional “appearance” messages are used to promote attendance at an event. This is usually sent to a targeted geographic area, such as an individual county, or a group of recipients within a 30-mile radius.
- Press Release (PR) messages are sent to media or “follower” lists.
- Rapid-Response messages are used to “reply” to a competitor accusation or comment. These are usually short, and highly targeted.

In addition, WTV supported a variety of independent organizations who wanted to help the Bentley campaign. These where usually professional organization or unique demographical groups, such as the examples at the left.
WebcastingTV managed the database from Dr. Bentley, as well as supplying new data from our Conservative/Christian database.
After the successful election, WebcastingTV delivered to the Bentley organization CASS standardized records of each of the individuals who interacted with either the emails and/or the website. |
