Detailed instructions for downloading and installing RealNetwork's RealOne software.
WebcastingTV uses the RealNetwork's RealOne software or RealPlayer (back to version 7).  You only need the FREE version of the software.  Just press here for the "FREE RealPlayer".   Follow the instructions for downloading the software.  Some download tips are listed below:

  1. You DON'T need the RealOne "Premium" version to access any of the video on WebcastingTV.  Just "Basic" will do fine.  Look for the "free player" selection.  They make it hard to see, so that you think you need for the $19 version.
  2. After you find the "Free" player on the first page, they make you find it again on the second page:. 

    Press the "Download FREE" bar (shown at the left).

  3. Be careful to select the proper Operating System (OS) and Central Processing Unit (CPU).  A Mac version won't work on a PC, and visa versa (Item #1), and language you would like the software in (item #2).
  4. Follow the download instruction. Generally, you can "Next" through the installation and accept the default choices.  

You will need to know the modem speed (bits per second) of your connection to the internet.  Most people have a "dial-up" account with a modem connected to your phone line.   More and more people are installing "cable" modems or "DSL" connections, and if you have one of these, you can select the highest stream rate.
